Top of the World Treatment Centres Calgary is offering
a 10 day outpatient sexual addictions treatment program.

Top of the World’s sexual addictions program is facilitated by Dr. Vicki Patton a fully trained CSAT Level 4 therapist and sexual addictions expert. Treatment will be limited to 20 adults. The treatment will consist of psycho-educational sessions, group therapies, holistic based self care and relapse prevention with an adult educational approach that encourages input and interaction between the clients and the facilitators.

Using a holistic bio-psycho-spiritual approach, the program will consist of daily check-ins, readings and meditation which will center the group at the start of each day. Educational presentations will address issues such as the addiction cycle, family of origin dynamics, toxic shame, and unresolved grief and trauma. In a safe therapeutic environment, the healing of pain and shame will be facilitated through participation in small groups, and the use of experiential techniques such as therapeutic role-play, Gestalt work, psychodrama, dream work and art therapy. Participants will be assigned homework (reading and/or short written exercises) and this material will be discussed during the group therapy component of the program each afternoon. Participants will also be assisted in the development of personalized relapse prevention and aftercare plans.

Persons that should attend are those that wish to rid themselves of the negative consequences they and their loved ones are experiencing due to the engagement of their behavior in any of the topics below:

  • Multiple or Serial Affairs / Infidelity
  • Compulsive Masturbation with or without Pornography
  • Exhibitionism / Voyeurism
  • Prostitutes / Strip Clubs / Massage Parlors /Adult Book Stores
  • Anonymous Sex / Cybersex/Internet Porn.
  • Lying and Cheating
  • Professional /Workplace Sexual Misconduct

Attendance to this program is Not appropriate for those who have:

  • A History of Sexual Offending
  • Physical Violence associated with Sexual Acting-out

  • Identify and Eliminate Problem Sexual Behaviors
  • Insight into Underlying Issues which Drive the Addiction
  • Provision of Tools to Maintain Abstinence and Support Recovery
  • Education about Healthy Emotional Intimacy and Sexual Health
  • Healing of Broken Relationships

Prior to attendance:

A discreet, confidentiality assured telephone assessment will take place with each prospective attendee to determine their appropriateness for this program. This information allows our potential clients and this centre to be certain that the program we offer will meet client needs. If we are not a good fit we will do our utmost to help you find a program that is.

Spouses and Loved ones:

A one week treatment program will follow that will attend to the needs of our clients spouses and loved ones. They will be encouraged to attend for their own healing, benefit and understanding.

Continuing care is essential to the addictions treatment process and is also offered at Top of the World Treatment Centres following the primary treatment program. Our continuing care program consists of facilitated weekly group sessions for the 3 months following the 2 week treatment program. The continuing care group sessions are 1.5 hours in length once per week and take place in the evening.

Fees:

The fee for this program is $3,500. * Due to limited space and a specific date and schedule, we require a $2,000 non-refundable deposit at the time of admission.

The fees for the 12 facilitated continuing care sessions that follow are $600
